Super Bowl Halftime Show

After watching last night’s Super Bowl LIV, and its halftime show/display, then seeing poor Riley Green criticized and mocked (on the little blue birdie we call Twitter) afterward for expressing his opinion, I have reached the following conclusion – we need a new idea for America’s Sunday addiction – or at least another alternative… (A little bird just told me that…)

I had a novel, original idea – see what you think? It could (possibly) solve 2 problems… First, almost nobody is ever really happy with the SB halftime show – either a performer is terrible, too risqué, not big/important enough, or too cheesy, right?

Second, almost everybody loves the new, original SB commercials right? Some claim that that they are the only reason to watch the game, right? Well, here is my novel idea.

Why not… Use the “new” SB commercials exclusively for the television halftime entertainment show. Air them during halftime only and exclusively – at an even more expensive price, yet give those same advertisers a reduced price for running older ads during the game. At the same time, give viewers at the game a “live” performance of a local or regional up and coming artist. That way, new performers get an “exclusive” show and SB attendees get an “exclusive” performance the rest of America doesn’t …???

Therefore, a) home viewers can’t rant about how terrible it is/was, and TV America isn’t “exposed” to soft porn (as I saw it described today), 2) non football fans don’t have to watch the whole game if they are only watching for the commercials, C) younger/newer artists get exposure they wouldn’t otherwise, and 4) SB attendees can feel “exclusively special” with a show others wont see plus they can watch all the commercials at one time on DVR after the game.

Nah – it won’t work. People just love to complain – they will about this idea too…

And, yes, the mix of numerals and letters (capital and lowercase) in the post is intentional. Let’s just call it “something for everybody and anybody”. 😜🤓😎
