As I write this, no one has any idea who our “new” POTUS will be. Ballots are still being counted, recounted, verified, etc. To be honest, I really don’t care who wins. The “lesser of the 2 evils” is STILL evil. But I digress. The impetus for this post is hearing politicians, media members, and

Alternative Facts/Post-Truth?
A wise man named Mahatma Gandhi coined the term Satyagraha. Its definition (loosely translated) means truth force – or “holding onto truth”. In this crazy modern world, especially in the disastrous year 2020, “truth” would seem to be on life support, if not dead already. I am gonna propose a theory on why I think
Politics of Unity
When I began studying Philosophy many years ago, I quickly became enamored with the ancient Greeks – not just their philosophy, but their views on mathematics, science, engineering, governance, and life in general. I read a lot of Plato – and learned a lot about my hero – Plato’s teacher – Socrates. Plato wrote a
Time For A Haircut – Or Is It?
Like everyone else in America, I have struggled with this Covid-19 pandemic, how to deal with it, and when is it ok to move on with life. Well, as I have watched nature move from spring into summer I have noticed something: nothing in nature has changed. The birds have all paired off and nested.
Joe Scott – A Hero’s Friend
A YouTube vlogger I follow posted this video a few hours ago. We All Fail The Coronavirus Test
As I sit here on March 19th, 2019, our nation (and the entire planet) is suffering from the fallout the coronavirus pandemic has caused – and continues to cause. The worst is still over the horizon according to the experts. It seems (almost) illogical for an unseen foe to wield as much power as this
Baseball
Happy baseball season everybody. I am a few days late posting this – spring training opened a few days ago. Baseball was the one sport I could actually compete at a relatively high level (compared to my other sporting attempts). I figured out real quick which position I enjoyed playing – for multiple reasons. First,
Super Bowl Halftime Show
After watching last night’s Super Bowl LIV, and its halftime show/display, then seeing poor Riley Green criticized and mocked (on the little blue birdie we call Twitter) afterward for expressing his opinion, I have reached the following conclusion – we need a new idea for America’s Sunday addiction – or at least another alternative… (A
