Most people who know me – especially those in my family – know that the past decade or so have been pretty tough on me physically. I half joking tell everyone that it is the only way God was able to really get my attention – my completely undivided full focused pinpointed attention. The concept of “be still and know that I am God” is one that I have become quite familiar with. As a (almost) 50 year old man I am living a lifestyle that most don’t see until retirement age. It is a blessing and a curse – bittersweet you might say. It is no huge secret to anyone that our society is living in fast forward. We are all given the same amount of hours in a day, but it is never enough. I don’t have any answers to that problem. But I beg you to take the extra second and pay attention. It may amaze you.
